How to get a Vietnam visa from Azerbaijan?
From Azerbaijan, visitors may apply for Vietnam visa on arrival in just a few hours by submitting visa application online via www.e-vietnamvisa.com or get a visa at the Vietnam Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan in 3 - 5 working days. From February 2017, e-visa is another option for the Azerbaijan tourists who desire to travel Vietnam less than 30 days.
Each type of visa application is offering some advantages and
disadvantages. Visa on arrival is especially beneficial for those
who are living far away from the Vietnamese Embassy; or those who do
not want to send off their passport by post; or somebody who are tired of traveling a
long distance from time to time and then wait for hours to submit a
pile of documents. The other advantages of
visa on arrival include faster processing, cost-saving and more efficient payment methods. However, Vietnam visa on arrival is available for air entry only.
Vietnam e-visa has been introduced by the Vietnam Immigration Department in February 2017. Until now, there are 80 countries whose citizens are eligible for Vietnam e-visa including Azerbaijan. Like a visa on arrival, Vietnam e-visa will be performed online totally via the Vietnam Immigration Department's website. The longest duration of stay for e-visa has been up to 30 days with single entry.

In order to apply for a visa on arrival, you are requested to complete 3 simple steps as follow:
- Firstly, fill in an online application form and make a payment for processing service fee
- Secondly, get a visa approval letter delivered via email within 2 hours (emergency service) or 2 working days (normal service)
- Thirdly, present the original passport, copy of approval letter (in hard copy), 2 photos (at passport sized) and pay the stamping fee to get visa attached on the passport at arrival airport

Vietnam e-visa is good for the Azerbaijanis tourists who travel Vietnam for less than 30 days with single entry. In order to apply for an e-visa, the applicants need to prepare:
- A passport data page photo and recent taken portrait: The photos are stored in JPG or PNG format with a size of 2MB each file maximum;
- A credit card that is enabled to make online payment;
- All passport information including full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and the date of arrival, entry and exit ports and intended hotel as well.
How to clear the "in processing" status and fix the errors for evisa?
Normally it takes 3 - 5 working days to complete an e-visa however, at a peak time it may take up 7 - 10 days to give a result or even 15 working days if your visa application need to be further verified by the Vietnam Immigration Department. Some our Azerbaijanis customers are sharing with us that after 7 - 10 days, they access in the link given by the Vietnam Immigration Department to check the visa process and it still returns "in processing" status.

Vietnam has simplified its visa regime for Azerbaijani citizens. Azerbaijani citizens will be able to obtain an entry visa at the airport in Vietnam, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Thursday 31 Oct 2013
According to the report, the agreement on visa regime simplification was reached after the issue was raised by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Vietnam. It was stressed that the citizens of the country face difficulties in obtaining visas as there is no Vietnamese embassy in Azerbaijan.
