Vietnam visa requirements for Norwegian citizens

However, there must be a gap of at least 30 days between 2 entries (Update: By the year of 2022, the regulation of 30 days gap between 2 entries has been revoked) with visa free access and the conditions to get 15 days visa free as follows:

  • The passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival;
  • The stay in Vietnam is less than 15 days (the travelers must show onward air ticket at the airports and visa counter);
  • There is a gap of at least 30 days between two visa-free visits.

The Norwegian citizens who is wishing to stay in Vietnam for more than 15 days, a Vietnam visa is required. Citizens of Norway or those who are currently living in this country may apply for Vietnam visa by 2 options:

  • Getting a visa on arrival within 2 working days or just 2 hours by applying visa here. It's beneficial for those who is living in the country where there is no Vietnam Embassy and the visitors will arrive Vietnam by air (it is a must);
  • Getting a Vietnam visa from Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in Norway and it takes 3 - 5 working days with some specific required documents.
