Vietnam business visa stamp for my boss before arrival

Hi,

I am taking Vietnam visa mission for my boss, an Canadian citizen, who is travelling Vietnam for business. I wonder if there is any way to get a stamp on the passport with visa on arrival before departing Hong Kong for Vietnam? Or have you got any other services that make visa stamping time shorten? My boss is slightly hot tempered and I am afraid that he is not keen on waiting for visa stamped upon arrival airport.

One more question: Could he use the visa approval letter if he arrived after the proposed entry date?

Thank you,

Lili Cheung. Continue reading

How to obtain 3 months single or multiple Vietnam visa on arrival?

Many people are wondering if 3 months single or multiple entry visa on arrival will take more time to issue than 1 month visa or not?

Regarding this question, we would like to advise that 3 months Vietnam visa on arrival (single or multiple entry) can be issued within 1 to 2 hours (in emergency) or less than 36 hours (in normal).

At present 2014, the applicants can apply for 3 month visa online easily, not too much effort as the visa applied at the local Vietnam Embassy where people have to visit twice – one for documents submission and another for getting back your passport with visa stamp. Vietnam visa on arrival is beneficial for those who is living far away from the Vietnam Embassy or who don’t have much time waiting for their visa approval. Somebody, who are anxious of sending their passport off when applying for Vietnam visa at the embassy always select this way to get 3 months visa instead. Moreover, visa on arrival is the best plan for financial criteria which you can do for your trip to Vietnam, even it is not too much. Continue reading

Is that possible to leave on the day of visa expiration?

My visa in Vietnam expires May 1st, can I buy a plane ticket to fly out of Vietnam on May 1st or do I need to leave the day before expiration? I found one forum entry where a person said a visa is valid until midnight on the day of expiration, meaning it would be okay if I leave Vietnam before midnight on May 1st. Is that true? Or do I have to leave April 30th, before the expiration date? Continue reading

How long can I stay in Vietnam for tourist and business purpose?

Ten years ago, foreigners expecting to stay long in Vietnam can apply for 6 months or 12 months entry visa. At this moment, Vietnam immigration policies regulated that tourist visa valid until 30 days while business visas validity is 90 days.

You couldn’t stay longer than the validity stated in your visa except you have got your visa extended or renewed.  Vietnam visa extension can be done easily when you are in Vietnam and in the most case, your visa stamped at Ho Chi Minh airport will have its extension much easier and cheaper than visa issuing in Hanoi airport. The processing fee for more 3 months visa extension will vary from $45 to $180 depending on your entry port, current visa and expected visa extension. To apply for Vietnam visa extension, please contact us for further information. Continue reading

Is 650EAD for 3 months tourist visa quoted by Vietnam Embassy expensive?

Hi,

We are UK citizens having a plan to travel Vietnam for 3 months and we were quoted by the Vietnam embassy in Abu Dhabi (UAE) the cost for 3 months single entry visa of 650EAD (177USD or 113 pounds in conversion).

We were planning to travel to Vietnam overland but it might be cheaper if we fly into Vietnam using visa on arrival.

We would be interesting to hear the price from your agency www.e-vietnamvisa.com.

Best regards,

Chris

Answer

Dear Mr Chris,

Recently, there are some changes in the Vietnam visa fee regulated by the government. The stamping fee for 3 months single entry visa is 45USD now, instead of 25USD as before.

However, even to subject to nearly doubled processing fee, the visa fee that offered by the Vietnam Embassy in Abu Dhabi (UAE) is too expensive. If you apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival through www.e-vietnamvisa.com, it would be from 70USD – 77USD total. 117USD is far outweighs the price you pay for visa on arrival.

Looking forwards to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,

Alexandra
